On the bus again to spend some time at Suzhou "Venice of the East" which as this suggests is a canal city on the outskirts of Shanghai.
The houses are all open out to the canals so we get a good view of just how the locals live. A fairly basic way of living it turns out.
On the way back to Shanghai we call into a silk factory
It is amazing just how impressed Carolyn and Susan were with these clever little bugs
Back to the hotel for a Farwell dinner as it is only Carolyn and I doing the next leg. Tour group of two, just how we like it.
After dinner a few of us went back to the bung to see the skyline by night.
